Welcome to Cornerstone Family Church

  • Welcome to the Cornerstone Family Church.

If you are new to the Wigan area, looking for a spiritual home or just wondering what 'Church' is all about it would be our pleasure to meet you on Sunday morning.  We have Lively Worship starting at 10.45 with Solid Bible Teaching and Breaking of Bread at two different locations across the borough. Both meetings start at 10:45 and officially end at 12.00 noon and there is always a chance to meet new friends afterwards as we enjoy coffee and cakes together in our cafe.

If you live nearer to Ashton-in-Makerfield or Bryn we can be found at

Cornerstone Family Church at Bryn, Cooke Street, (off Downall Green Road) Bryn. WN4 0DL

You will receive a very warm welcome there from pastors Jim and Ella and the family.

For those in the Hindley Green, Hindley, Leigh areas you will find us at

Cornerstone Family Church,  The Bethel Community Centre, Atherton Road (A577), Hindley Green. WN2 4SA

There are young childrens facilities at both houses but for those with teenagers Olivia leads the Cornerstone Youth each week at the Bethel.

There is an international flavour with nine or ten different countries from three continents represented between the congregations.

We support individuals and ministries around the world and look after the education and care of many children at home, in India, Africa and South America.

We are a growing group of ordinary people from babes and toddlers to octogenarians who love the Lord Jesus Christ and our desire is to see Him glorified in our local area and across the world. Whilst we have able leadership we believe that every believer is a minister and we strive to develop people, guiding them to recognise and fulfil their potential. Our desire is to release men and women into their ministry with all the help and encouragement we can give them. You will find information about all our ministries on this website.

The Bethel Community Centre stands on a site where there has been a christian community meeting for over 150 years. We feel it is appropriate for the building to serve the whole community so the church manages the Bethel with this in mind. All enquiries to do with the building should be directed to Stephanie Channings who does a fabulous job of organising the maintainance of the building itself and managing the use of the facilities.
